Tales of a 20-something running and eating through life

What’s been going on?

Hello from Maryland Heights! I’m back home for the night after a few days of Res Life training in Columbia. Tomorrow we have race number 4 of the Winter Park Series, so I’ll be running that and heading back to school in the afternoon.

But let’s back it up a bit, since I haven’t filled you in on the happenings for a few days. Here’s what’s been going on with me:

-On Tuesday, I packed all of my stuff up and headed to Columbia. Training started on Wednesday afternoon, so I had Tuesday night and Wednesday morning to unpack and get situated. I had a lot of stuff:

-Wednesday afternoon we started training, which all in all was not bad. They condensed it into a day and a half, which was almost luxurious. There were even a few points where we had a lot of extra time. I enjoyed seeing my staff again after break too! I’m really lucky that I like everyone on my staff.

-Today, I had one session in the morning and then I finished up some loose odds and ends, took a short nap (late night bulletin-boarding coupled with an early morning breakfast had me dragging), packed up, ate lunch and headed home!

-This afternoon I got some exciting news: I’m going to be writing a column for The Maneater this semester! My column is going to be about feminism. I’ll be published once a week. I’ll be sure to share all of my columns on the blog.

-After dinner tonight I made some popcorn! Butter, maple syrup and cinnamon. Pretty tasty!

DSC_3605I guess that’s all I have for you. I’m going to eat a little ice cream and watch Modern Family from Wednesday, then get to sleep. Racing tomorrow!
